Have you ever asked yourself why every time you compile a form, most of the webistes require demonstrating you are a human being?
Maybe the website owners are scared of an alien or robotic invasion?
Maybe! But this is not the reason.
The reason why most websites adopt CAPTCHA (“Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart”) into their form is to avoid spam. In particular, they aim at reducing the fulfillment of forms with spam links.
An interesting case study reported by Seomoz.com showed how the use of CAPTCHA can reduce spam by 90%.
We might have the same problem on Salesforce Communities. Exactly! Communities are accessible from the Web and they might be vulnerable to specific malicious attacks.
Luckily we may insert a CAPTCHA into a Lightning Component and, even if it is not simple, it is not impossible!
